The main objective of this course is to introduce the state space methods in modeling and feedback control of linear time invariant systems. Fundamental concepts of modern control theory are covered, including solutions to systems modeled in state space, linear transformation, stability analysis, controllability, observability, and pole placement control. Computer based tools-MATLAB for control system design is also introduced. Finally students are examined in a thorough and comprehensive design task as a term project.
